Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used, when it is shared, and how cookies are handled. It was last reviewed in July 2026.
Collection of Information
Ironwood collects personal information through this website only when you choose to give it to us. The inquiry form on our contact page asks for a student or guardian name and an email address, both required so that we can reply, and optionally a phone number, the grade a student would enter, a track of interest, and the text of your question. If you check the box asking for reminders, we record that preference alongside your email address.
Our web host records standard server log information for every visit, including the requesting IP address, the browser and operating system reported by your device, the pages requested, and the date and time of the request. This log data is collected automatically for security and troubleshooting and is not linked to the information you type into a form. We do not use analytics services that build advertising profiles, and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors from log data.
Usage of Information
Information you submit through the inquiry form is used to answer your question, to schedule a tour or visit, and, if you asked for them, to send application deadline reminders and tour dates. Admissions correspondence is retained for the duration of the application cycle and then archived according to our records retention schedule. We do not sell personal information, we do not rent mailing lists, and we do not use the addresses collected here for any purpose you did not ask for. You can ask to be removed from reminder emails at any time by replying to any message or by calling the front office.
Student education records held by the school, as distinct from a website inquiry, are governed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and by our board policy, not by this website policy.
Third-Party Information Usage
We share information from this website with third parties only in narrow circumstances. Our web hosting provider necessarily processes server log data on our behalf. Where a work-based learning placement or a dual-enrollment registration requires it, we share the specific student information that partner institutions such as Austin Community College or a host employer need in order to enroll or place the student, and only with the consent of a parent or guardian. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so. No third party receives information collected on this site for its own marketing purposes.
Cookie Policy
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. The site is static and functions fully with cookies disabled in your browser. Depending on how the site is reached, our hosting and content delivery providers may set their own cookies or run scripts for security and bot protection; those are outside our control and are not used to build an advertising profile of you. Your browser may also cache page files and images locally to speed up repeat visits; that cache lives on your own device, is not readable by us, and can be cleared through your browser settings at any time. If we ever add a feature of our own that requires cookies, we will describe it here and ask for consent before setting one.
